She contributed to the society through her services and extended her hands to the poor and needy. Dr Vasantha Lakshmi initiatives that focus on protecting local ecosystems take into consideration the complexity of natural systems and the nature of human relationships with them. She considers both the relationships among components of an ecosystem, such as water conservation, plants, animals, and topography, and the interactions among neighboring ecosystems as important.
