Dr. Vasantha Lakshmi initiative that focus on protecting local ecosystems take into consideration the complexity of natural system and the nature of human relationship with them.

She considers both the relationships among components of an ecosystem, such as water conservation, plants, animal, and topography, and the interactions among neighboring ecosystems as important.

The service and activities of Vasantha Lakshmi always inculcate a sense of belongingness among the beneficiaries and making them cautious and active towards environment protection.

Outcome

We will have a detailed report on different water issues at State wise / District wise. Detailed report will be submitted to the Ministry of Jal Shakthi, Government of India about the facts and figures on water conservation and rain water harvesting issues in this regard.

Project Highlights

  • To increase awareness about the need for judicious use and regeneration of water resources for enhancing water quality and quantity in all parts of India
  • To increase awareness about water as a basic right of each citizen of India

  • To establish dialogue with government making state and national water policies more people-oriented and responsive.
  • All the NGOs across the country will participate with all their volunteers mobilize their active local youth, concentrating on students, SHG women, Teacher and other stakeholders.
  • This will also help to audit the condition of Water bodies in States and will help State Governments to draw up short and long term plans on water conservation from village level & community participation and increase the water holding capacity of the Water bodies at village level so that we are able to save lot more water
